Here is a step-by-step path for your getting involved. You can do as MUCH or as little as you would like. Click the highligted text to go to the place it refers to:
1. Go to YouVersion and join The JOY FM Group. (You may have to get a free YouVersion account first)
2. If you want to be able to read notes or see others’ bookmarks, follow those group members on YouVersion.
3. While on YouVersion, sign up for “The First Steps Reading Plan.”
4. Start reading every day! (Just sign in to YouVersion and access your reading plan.)
IF YOU WANT TO GO FURTHER UP AND FURTHER IN:
5. Go to the homepage of this blog (www.thejoyfm.com/bill) and read what Bill periodically posts. Leave a comment!
6. Go to the “Read the Bible with Bill Martin” discussion forum and join in a discussion or start your own by topic.
I am so glad that I found this. I made sure that this year I made time for doing healthy things, like eating right and exercise, but I always fell short when it came to reading the Bible. It was so difficult sometimes to understand and comprehend.
Now, with this Bible Study Group, I feel that I can not only read the Bible every day, but participate and learn much better.
Thank you Bill, for starting this!
Yay! Christy, I’m so encouraged to hear your enthusiasm for building a daily habit of getting into God’s Word! Just like exercise (so Carmen tells me!), you may have to push through “a wall” to make it a habit that you don’t dread — it’s human nature to fight against the very things that are best for us — but keep going until you just DO IT, without wrestling, just like eating a good, healthy meal.
Bill I cannot get YouVersion set up, is there any other way to follow you in the daily reading of the Bible??
Hey Dee… if you need help setting setting up YouVersion you can email me and I’ll try and help you. I just figured it out myself!
My email… redwords@gmail.com
I am so excited about this! I just finished Awake21, and I was looking for something to read daily. God is so good!
I’m trying to sign in. I’m not sure if this is iPad compatible?
Yes, Scott, the iPad is compatible. Sorry it took me so long to answer.
