Esther_Cover_emailHey Guys! You know how much I love Beth Moore! Just finished the Esther Bible study. I love all her Bible studies, but I especially love this one because of the parallels she draws between the story of Esther and current culture. She draws out the theme, it’s tough being a woman, in ways that are applicable to our struggles and build our faith. For example, a couple of the chapter titles: it’s tough being a woman in a world where beauty is a treatment and it’s tough being a woman in the tight fist of fear. That one really spoke to me! Much like the fact that God’s name is “absent” in the book of Esther, Beth focuses on the providence of God and trusting him even when we can’t see Him. . .because He is so close! I think you can see why I want to pay it forward! I want to give away my copy of Beth Moore’s Esther Bible study. SO, I’m looking for a woman who would be willing to find some friends and commit to this Bible study for 10 weeks. If that’s you, register by providing your name and email address in the comments section below this blog post. The guys and I will select a winner by 10:00 this morning! Love you all!

Hi Carmen, I would love to win your Esther study if you can part with it. I am trying to start a bible study with the pregnant women at Lowell Correctional Institution which is a prison outside Ocala. I know that they have had other bible studies there, but I want something that will show them that they are loved and that they still can use God’s power to look at their situation in a good way.

HI Carmen! I lead a women’s Bible Study every Wednesday night and it has been the best thing for our ladies, of all ages, to come together as women and share our journey. I am always on the look out for new material that is relevant to this great bunch of ladies. We started out with almost 20 ladies about a year ago and the ladies are so hungry for the word that they continue to come and we all have become so close. This sounds like a study just for us! We’d love to receive a free copy!
    In His service,

Carmen, I would love to have this Beth Moore study. I did this study in group about 5 or 6 years ago. I still have my book but would love the DVDs that go along with it and to lead another small group with this study within my church family today.
Beth Moore’s Esther left such an impact on my life, I would like to share that impact with others.

Hi,Carmen. Wow! To make a long story short, we are a military family. We were blessed to have our daughter in love and 2 grandbabies live with us this past year while our son was in Korea. During that time, we met a lady at church who was a military wife too. We instantly connected with her. A little over a year later, I was honored when she asked me to baptize her this past Wednesday. Now, here’s why I would be so blessed to have your Bible study on Esther…Our church has decided to take the summer off from Wednesday night Bible studies (except for 1 amazing leader who will continue to teach his class on Romans.) I would love to have this study for all the women like my friend, Raquel, who are so hungry for the Word right now. (myself, too!) Thanks, Carmen. Enjoy THIS day!!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE Beth Moore’s story of Ester. I work for a large company and God had laid it on my heart a while back to start a Bible study. Of course I kept putting it off, this is a large group of physicians and part of it is a teaching hospital in Atlanta. Ok, I didn’t say Emory, good! Well you know when God wants you to do something, He just keeps on at you until you do it! I went to our company COO and told him what God had laid on my heart, I wanted to start a monthly Bible study during lunch. He not only said it was a great idea, he offered to teach the first one! I told him I didn’t think many people would come with someone from administration teaching until we had it going, he agreed. He even let’s us use the administrative conference room. Well our every month Bible study is changing to every 2 weeks! People have come to this Bibke study that I never expected would come. I would love to be able to share the story if Ester with this group. Oh, by the way, the COO is teaching the next class!

Okay I guess I am the first one but I will tell you right now I can’t begin to express how much I have loved Beth Moore and her studies. I have lead so many of them and when I heard you talking about this one all I kept thinking was Lord I really want to do this one but show me the way and when. So I am praying this was His way of affirmation that He will make a way for me to bring this to those around me.. Thank you Carman for being so real and so faithful to Him.. Just love how much you bless us..

    Hi Carmen,
I enjoyed this Bible Study when a small group at my church did it. I am in the process of looking for materials to do with some ladies I work with. There are about 28 ladies who would like to do a Bible Study with me. Have been looking for relevant materials for these ladies.

  19. lisa sewell June 14, 2013 at 11:13 am #

It would be such a blessing to be able to grab a group of ladies to do this, I miss having a home Bible study, the last one was several years ago. Our church is very large and people travel from all over ATL to be there so we don’t offer any studies there and I would love to be able to get a local group together for this purpose. Thanks for the opportunity!

Carmen, I would be honored to have your copy of this study. You see I am about to loss my house and job. I have always wanted to do a Bible study but money was so tight that I could never afford it. I would be honored to do this study with my other friends and sisters as I call them. I could really use the knowledge that I would get from this as only 3 years ago a friend made me volunteer for a Joel Event here in Tampa and ever since that my life has changed but I have no control over what is happening in my life right now but I know God will lead me in the right direction. I sure hope you can find it in your heart to help me here. Thank you and God Bless you for helping others. Love listening to ya all !!!

This is great. I was just talking last week to some of my Christian friends at work (local hospital) about your Beth Moore home study group and we were saying we need to get a study group together. We are nurses and thought that we should take some time for ourselves in fellowship but have not researched where to get the Beth Moore study set- we would love to win it!!! Thank you for offering the giveaway

  30. Mary Armetta June 14, 2013 at 11:19 am #

First of all I just want to say thank you!!!! You are such an inspiration to me on a daily basis. I’ve done many of Beth Moore’s bible studies, and have enjoyed them intensively. I was driving into work this morning and heard you were giving away your study of Esther. The Lord put it on my heart to enter this contest. I don’t think so much as to win this study but to tell me I need this study. I love my drive into work because I find it is when I can really hear the still small voice of the Lord. The Lord knows the trials and tribulations of my life, and I thank HIM for giving me peace in this world of chaos. I just want to say whether I win your study or not…I am going to find a way to do this study.

    Good Morning Carmen:
First thank you for your generosity in offering this study to some lucky woman/group that will so enjoy this study. I have wanted to do a Beth Moore study for sometime and God has been nudging me that I should facilitate the study, and I respond “you can’t be talking to me”. Maybe this is just one more nudge from God. IWhether selected or not I know this isn’t a coincidence but a Godincidence and will respond to God’s nudge. Hearing your passion about Esther resonates with me and tells me which Beth Moore study I should persue and I thank you for that.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to win such an awesome gift. You are always such a blessing in all that you do for others. I only listen to TheJoyFM. It keeps my mind on track and helps me to focus on what is really important, Christ! My church does many Beth Moore studies and I have done Daniel, The Tabernacle and The Law of Love. They have helped me grow so much in the true understanding of what the scriptures depict and would love to learn more about Esther. Again thank you for the opportunity.

Just reading this thread is such an uplifting experience. So many women working to study and share God’s word! God called me to help the young women of our church three years ago by leading a Bible study. Way out of my comfort zone, having never lead an extended study or for that matter other than Sunday School never even attending a Bible Study. But I trusted that He would figure it out. Three years later every Tuesday, a home cooked meal and Bible study discussion we are still going strong at HPPC in Tampa. We have never done a Beth Moore study and it sounds like Esther would be perfect for this group of 20 & 30 year olds. Thanks so for work, it’s making a difference!

  67. Tina Allen June 14, 2013 at 12:00 pm #

I think I made a mistake in trying to read through the Bible in one year. in reading the old testament there seems to be so much sacrificial pagan rituals and instead of making God more real, makes him seem more of a great story to tell your followers so they live in fear and follow the rules. I am saved, have always believed in God and my Lord saviour Jesus, but instead of having clarityI am having more questions reading. I am thinking a bible study about lloving God when he doesn’t feel so close would be a great thing to go through.

  68. Tiffany Anthony June 14, 2013 at 12:04 pm #

Listening to you talk about this in the morning has inspired me to lead this study with my unit members. I believe its important for women to study and use these powerful women in the Bible as role models, especially at this time!

Hey Carmen thoroughly enjoy listening to y’all as I get ready for work each weekday morning. I hope to be the blessed winner. I have heard alot of good things about Beth Moore, but never have done one of her studies. Thanks for your dedication to The Lord!

    Good Morning Carmen,

I first want to say thank you for being an open, transparent, willing vessel. This is truly a rare find in the Body of Christ. I also want to say thank you for sharing your laugh which also a ministry within itself. Many people need to know that it is ok to laugh, that God does allow his children to have fun. Your laugh delivers that message.

I also want to thamk you for your willingness to share a ministry tool that has impacted your ife. I do believe that this tool can be used to impact a nation. I do pray that God bless you with a Prophet’s Reward, that all of your needs be meet and that you nor your family never exeperience any lack.

I believe that the Book of Esther is a very prowerful story and we as women both young and old can relate to her in so many ways. I use to offer a ‘Women’s Night In’ every two weeks at my home. This brought women in to my mist from all walks of life. This was used to give women a way of escape from everyday life. I am now in transistion as many of the women are. I have beleive that I can utilize this ministry tool to hold private sessions in the home as well as with women in a church session. I do believe that this tool can be sued to help women of all ages. I would love to be given the opportunity. I would run with the piece until God changes my direction. At that time I would be willing to pass the torch on to someone else to do the same.

Thank you again for sharing your life with us and sharing what this study has done for you. I do pray that your day is blessed and may God bless the lives of everyone to whom this series is sowed.

  71. Cora Hinds June 14, 2013 at 12:09 pm #

Good morning Carmen and “the crew” I was just selected as the Women’s ministries leader for my church and would love to receive the CD’s on Esther to begin my reign. I know the Lord is working to provide ideas because I am praying for guidance to lead my fellow sisters closer to Him. Thanks and may God continue to bless The Joy FM.

I wish I could commit to teaching a group Bible study right now – but unfortunately just can’t – however, I would love a copy of the prayer that you prayed this morning. I was on my way to work when you read it on the radio this morning and prayed it right along with you. If you could share that with me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Carmen!

I have always wanted to participate in a Beth Moore Bible Study, but coming from a very small Church that just isn’t possible. I have also prayed to be able to head up a small home study group!! When I first got saved Esther was the first book of the Bible that I read all way through, I love her! I have also enjoyed the nuggets you have shared from week to week from your group study!
Also, I had an Aunt Esther, does that count? lol

Good Carmen I just love listening to your show. I would love to win this boo. See my story is long but a good one and I owe all to the love of God and what he has showed me over the last 3 years.see my ex husband cost me my job that paid my bills then filed for divorce,he went to work on March 10, 2011 and never returned but him and his family tried to kick me out of our house but it didn’t work in their favor, see God had a plan for me and it was not for me to give up although I sat there and cried for an entire month one day I woke up and god showed me that my place was to be his word and not to do this alone. I have faced a lot of trials such as decisions like do I pay a bill or feed my child. Well with prays and determination I did both. It took me 18 months to find a job after all that and that was only a part-time job that sometimes only gives me 9 hours a week, but I took it only to prove my strength and faith in god, and I still work at that same job I’ve been there a year know and my faith in god is stronger today then ever and I’m so thankful for gods love because that is all I have.

Carmen, I bet you wish you had enough copies to give one to everyone. I too would love to have a copy of this to share in a small group with the ladies at church.

I work at a small Christian private school and every summer we try to get together and do a Bible study together. This one sounds amazing and just what we need to get strengthen for the next school year. Thank you for being willing to give something of yours that touched your heart so others can be touched as well.

    God Bless,

Just writing to say what a joy your station is to us here at the farm. We listen to it when milking the goats in the morning and evening….. That’s 22 milkings so we have a great time…. And throughout the day all over the farm…But now back to what you mean to us. I love your sharing in the morning and Esther is such a wonderful wonderful part of the Bible that we don’t often read. I’d like to win BUT after reading all the things that others have written, I don’t want to “win” any more.I will in fact uncandidate myself .I’m just wanting others to win!!!….Lucky winner that gets all your comments written in the Study guide. :) Here’s what I’d like to do Carmen. Can you start a fund for those of us that want to sponsor a This – maybe an Esther fund??? or as much of it we can afford to do. I might not be able to pay full cost but would like to make a contribution toward this!!!! Is this possible??? The nominations are so super here I would love ALLL of them to win a copy!!! Will you let me know if this could be done??? I’d like to be one of the first donors toward sponsoring this <3. LITLA (one of my coineds for Love in the Lord Always) from Nancy Garry and Jacque Garry, two of the farmer fans of your station.

I purchased a Women of the Bible devotional years ago. I enjoyed the Esther week! Beth Moore is such an inspiring person. I’m excited to find out more about this bible study!

Hey Carmen! About a month ago, I felt that God was calling me to start a bible study for women in their 20’s at my church. Since then, I have been looking at different books and trying to make get all of . While I have never taught a bible study before (and I will admit, makes me feel a little out of my comfort zone), I feel that God has called me to lead it. I feel that the ladies at my church could really benefit from this study. Many of us are at the stage in our lives where we are newly married, beginning a family, and trying to find our place in the world. I think that it would help us to learn how to be the women that God wants us to be.

  100. Christine June 14, 2013 at 12:53 pm #

This study would be great to do with my two teenage girls, especially since they are in the public schools. They have taken stands before but it would be great to study a Bible Character with them to re-enforce this principle.

A few weeks ago my husband took a great job opportunity in Washington DC and moved up there. Me and my four children are staying in Winter Haven till at least next summer. I would love to use this time to invite the ladies from my church over for Bible study. My oldest daughter is 21 so she can enjoy this with me and the ladies. I have been so blessed listening to you share about it that I would love to watch and discuss all areas! Thank you and continue to let God use you and the fella’s!! Love you all!

  104. Lori McMillan June 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm #

I would LOVE this study to do with my girlfriends…. We are Looooong overdue for a good ol’ B.Moore study…over the years a handful of us moms get together to do one and well, it’s about that time. Maybe winning this one would get out fannies in gear!

  105. Stephanie sharpe June 14, 2013 at 1:01 pm #

My church is going to start a women’s bible study and my mentor/lady leading over the women’s bible study is having a difficult time figuring out what to do and I think this study would be awesome. Ester will speak to the young women and to older women. She is an inspiration on what it means to stand for your faith and also be submissive to God’s calling.

  106. Lisa June 14, 2013 at 1:03 pm #

I have heard you talking about this book on the Morning Cruise, and have been thinking about purchasing it in the next few weeks.
Six months ago, I married a amazing man of God who is the pastor of a small rural church. I have been asking God to show me what my role is here…How does He want me to reach out?.. How does He desire for me to minister?
This Beth Moore Bible Study would be a wonderful way to bring the ladies of the church of all ages together – to study God’s word, to share of ourselves, and to grow spiritually together!
Thank you guys for all that you do at the Joy FM – you are such a blessing!!!

  107. Luisa Evans June 14, 2013 at 1:07 pm #

I would love to have this study for the ladies of my church. We are a very small church in Newberry, FL with the greater pastor ever: Gary Bracewell and God is using him to do many wonderful things for our church and community in general. We’re going to have a car wash tomorrow to raise money to help the people in Oklahoma.
Love your show, the radio station and you in particular <3
Many, many blessings for all of you.

Thank you for sharing your bible study with me. I needed to hear what you had to say. When my dad died 4 years ago he left behind three women (my mom, my sister and I) and we depended on and worshiped him and we were left broken. My mother has since rebounded and we are starting to build our relationships again. We praised God even through my dad’s sickness and his death but the things that came after almost tore us apart. I now see that it was Satan who was trying to steal our testimony. I would love to be able to do this bible study with my Mother and sister along with our ladies ministry group. Again thank you for heeding God’s whisper to share your bible study because God was speaking through you to me.

  112. Jenn Coyle June 14, 2013 at 1:20 pm #

Good morning, I see that you have so many comments – that is awesome (oops showing my age). I would love to share the Bible study with a group of my friends who unfortunately, I mostly see only thru facebook. I would love to have a reason to get together and become closer thru learning about Esther. Even if I don’t get selected to receive your study, I think I’ll use this as a kick in the pants to start one anyway. What a blessing The Joy FM is in my life. Thank you for being a part of that.

  113. Beatrice Smyder June 14, 2013 at 1:22 pm #

Have not read anything by Beth Moore, but I feel sure if Carmen loves it, it should be great. It would be a book to share with all my faith-filled co-workers at my workplace!

    Thank You!

Just this past Tuesday I was talking with my Pastor at church and saying how I would love to do this bible study with some of the women. Our church has had a rapid growth in “New Christians” and this bible study will show them just how God can move and work in our lives and how the bible can help us as women get through many different areas that we face.

  116. Cynthia Philpott June 14, 2013 at 1:33 pm #

Several ladies from my church meet with me on Monday afternoons at a Newnan coffee shop and have Bible study. It has been a wonderful time to study, share, laugh, and cry. It is definitely food for all of our souls. We love Beth Moore studies as well because we can identify with her as she presents such unique insights. Thank you so much for offering this particular study book.

Good Morning, Carmen. I’m at work now and hope you haven’t pick someone yet…I lead a weekly small group through my church for single moms. I’ve been intrigued with your comments on the Esther study and know that we would love to have the opportunity to go through this together. Sometimes the cost of materials is enough to be a roadblock for a single mom not to participate. Thanks for the offer. We love you!

  119. Lorraine Howard June 14, 2013 at 1:48 pm #

Thank you so much Carmen for your servant’s heart! What a blessing you are to me and many others!!!! God is good ALL THE TIME!!!

How wonderful that you are sharing your Beth Moore book. Our ladies bible study group is just wrapping up a Max Lucado study called “Next Door Savior”. We have such a wonderful group of God fearing, loving, and caring sisters. We call ourselves the “Lovely Ladies Group” but most importantly we are just burning to learn more about what God wants for us and how to become better disciples for our Lord. We would be thrilled to have your book but would be just as happy for whoever gets it. :)Sistahs in Christ!

  123. Amanda Andrews June 14, 2013 at 2:19 pm #

Looks like I just missed this one…but regardless this is a study I plan to take part in. My mother-in-law recently did the “here and now” study on Revelation. PHENOMENAL! I can’t get enough!

  124. Jett Russell Tanner June 14, 2013 at 3:56 pm #

Since you have gathered a dynamic group of women trying to serve women with your contest, how about a follow up question so we can share experiences? I would love to hear what Bible studies have resonated with women’s Bible study groups and the age groups. It is always a challenge for those of us older mentor women, especially those of us that work, to prepare studies that impact young women in a contemporary way. This spring the young men 20s and 30s joined us for a study and would like to be invited back! So what great studies would y’all suggest?

    Thanks, Jett

    Hi Carmen,

My pals and I are involved in a Bible Study for health and were looking for a Bible study for this summer. This sounds perfect for our small group!

  126. Alie June 14, 2013 at 6:36 pm #

My husband and I may be moving to Vermont, so I’m registering to get this bible study for either myself to use (so I can help to build a stronger women’s ministry when we move, since it’s a VERY small church where we are going) or to give it to a friend of mine who lives here (in Gainesville) and was just talking to me the other night about starting a women’s bible study!! My friend just bought a new house, so she’s excited to use it for hospitality purposes. :) Thanks for offering the book up!!

  127. Karen McCullough June 14, 2013 at 6:39 pm #

Hi, I would like to reach out to my friends in different states with this study by using FB to share this study. I have never tried a study this way, but in todays high paced society with social media~~ it might be a new way to reach others :) God bless everyone!
