Andy's hometown is Rockford, Illinois, where he started as afternoon drive DJ during his senior year in high school. Since then, he's also programmed and managed stations in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky. Andy moved to Gainesville in 1999 as GM of WJLF and transitioned with The JOY FM in 2004. On weekends, he sings bass with SOUTHLAND QUARTET (www.southlandquartet.com) which travels throughout the region. Andy and his wife of 34 years, Janice, have four grown children, two granddaughters, and a grandson.
