Find A Church

Our Mission at Calvary is "To proclaim Jesus Christ to the world!" This is the mission of the Church as a whole as well as the individuals within the church. We are called to live our faith through actions and words sharing God's unconditional, redeeming, life-giving love with all we meet. Our mission reflects the Great Commission, which includes the words, "go therefore and make disciples" (Matthew 28:19-20). Calvary lives out its mission through its values. They include: Acceptance – Christ calls all to Him. To that end, we recognize that all means all. We welcome everyone to come to Calvary and participate in a life of faith. Worship – Calvary is solidly anchored in the preaching of God's word, Baptism, and Communion. God's Word and the Sacraments connect us to a meaningful relationship with God. Outreach – The family of Calvary is the hands, feet, and face of Jesus in our community. By providing healing, help, and hope to people where they are, Calvary is a reflection of God's compassion for our neighbors and the world. Connections - Calvary embraces and nurtures a loving, faith-based connectedness among all ages. Through these meaningful relationships, Calvary grows from the wisdom, perspective, and gifts of every generation. What we Believe We believe in the Trinity; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We confess God as Father and creator of the universe. We confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Good News of Jesus Christ is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, human beings can be reconciled to God. We believe that the Holy Spirit calls, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on Earth. We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God. Inspired by God's Spirit speaking through the authors, they record and announce God's revelation centering on Jesus Christ. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source and norm of the church's proclamation, faith, and life. We believe that all human beings are born in sin and cannot live the life God intends for us on our own. We believe that Grace is justified through faith in Jesus Christ. We understand that God comes to us through the means of Grace, the Word of God, and the Sacraments of Baptism and Communion. Through them, God helps us understand and receive the benefits of a relationship with Him. God graciously speaks to us through the Law - what we need to do, and through the Gospel - what He has done for us.
