God Is In The Details

I get to help with the youth at my church.  I was talking with some girls who will be going into their senior year, and they are gearing up to take the SAT test.  They were telling me how scared they were because this ONE test could affect the college they get in to, the job they get, and ultimately, their future. 

I asked them, “Is God bigger than this test or what college you may or may not get in to?”  I then began to tell them my story.  Having dyslexia meant that school was always challenging for me.  However, I felt like God was leading me to a certain university in North Georgia.  So, I applied just KNOWING that God was going to provide.  I received the letter, and opened it with expectations, only for it to be a rejection letter. 

I was so confused by what I thought I God had so clearly directed me to do.  But do you know what He did?  He showed me that He was bigger than any rejection letter.  My high school guidance counselor called the university on my behalf and asked if they would reconsider me.  I had to take remedial classes and was on probation, but I got in.   

Mathew 6:26 says, “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap not gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not of more value than they?”  I don’t know what you are facing right now or what gigantic mountain is in front of you. But I DO know God is taking care of the birds in the sky, and He will take of you.  He is bigger than _____ (fill in the blank).
