Minutes before she took the stage for her annual Christmas concert residency at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville this week, Amy Grant’s record label, Captital Christian Music Group surprised her with a very special honor. In addition to having three multi-platinum albums, six platinum albums and four gold albums, the 6 time Grammy winner can now add the distinction of having her songs streamed over 1 billion times globally.
For the first time since it was released 25 years ago, Mariah Carey’s 1994 song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has finally hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Although it has ruled their Holiday 100 chart for 38 weeks it has never topped the multi-genre chart until now.
The Seattle Seahawks will be in good hands as Natalie Grant honors our country by singing the National Anthem in her hometown at this week’s game versus the Arizona Cardinals. You can catch her performance before the game begins at 4:25 this Sunday afternoon on FOX.
