Description:
Daycare cook must plan, prepare, and clean up meals for children at daycare facilities. Their responsibilities include: Meal preparation Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks that are healthy and compliant with the USDA food guide. This may involve following recipes, measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients, and baking, grilling, steaming, or boiling foods. Food management Ensure there is enough food available each day and use budgeting skills to make food purchases. Store food according to local health unit guidelines. Kitchen maintenance Keep the kitchen workspace clean, including washing and sterilizing dishes, pots, and utensils, washing countertops and sinks, and cleaning the refrigerator, freezer, and cupboards. Food service Serve food hygienically and model appropriate food handling and eating etiquette for children. We are also on GA Food Program- this person will also need to train for this
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to pass a background check Must be ready to work Mon-Fri 7am- 3pm
