Ascend Fitness (ascendfitness.com) is growing and looking for the right qualified and vibrant personal trainer. To excel in this role you must be versed in anatomy, biomechanics, general, muscular, and metabolic physiology, nutrition, and experienced working in fitness, either 1-1, or classes/small groups. At Ascend character is just as important as competency. The job involves working with clients in 1-1 sessions and small groups to take them through strength based workouts. During sessions and throughout the day/week you will be coaching clients on nutrition, recovery, and mindset Must have early morning and or evening availability on MWF and possibly Saturday morning. This job pays above market because we are a premium experience for our clients, so our next trainer will perform at that level and be compensated at that level.
Qualifications:
Certified Personal Trainer: NASM, NSCA, or ACSM preferred. If you are in the process of becoming certified let us know, you may still be eligible. Must be able to show an ABOVE AVERAGE technical comprehension of fitness (form, biomechanics, how to adapt form for specific needs/body types/injuries, lines of tension, variables (TuT, ROM, stability, volume, Load, frequency), how to tweak biomechanics of a lift to focus on one aspect of a movement or muscle over another, how to teach and correct, progress, and regress the major lifts: Bench, Squat, Conventional Deadlift, Lunge, Pull-up/Chin-up, OHP, Row. Must be EXCELLENT in personal presence (hygiene, fitness level/body composition, posture, verbal & body communication, personality, confidence to address and lead a group).
