The Morning Cruise Replay - Better For It

Friday, September 13, 2024

Wheel of Fortune has a new host and a new set, but are they better for it? Celeste, a longtime friend of Carmen, called in to tell us about her experience of being a contestant on the show, back in the day.

In telling us about Sharathon, Carmen said something that BIll disagreed with. He made a correction to her grammar, but only time will tell if that correction sticks with her.

Carmen wanted to know what the upside was to the Upside app. We learned that you can save quite a bit of money but that your data is then sold to other parties. So now the question is whether or not you'll be better off with or without the app.

With Sharathon coming up, Carmen has been trying all week to get 100 gifts during the show to giveaway a Stanley tumbler. And as she looked to improve upon that rate, Bill shared a note of encouragement from Riley with us. And we are certainly better for it!

Dave brought up that some of Carmen's favorite soaps are making a comeback, but he may not be better for it after that conversation!

Bill shared a word from a podcast that will help those dealing with "gutsy guilt" better themselves.

As Apalachee High School continues to grieve in the aftermath of the shooting there, we're seeing some efforts to make those impacted better for the experience. Bill highlighted some of the work by the school's football coach to better the community there.

We met the goal that Carmen set for today with 100 gifts towards Sharathon, so we went old school with a contest to call in. But now, we need to make improvements to our phone system since we broke it...again!
