Preparations continue for much of our listening area ahead of Hurricane Milton. For Carmen, her ride home yesterday was quite the experience as many evacuees headed north, turning her usual 1-hour commute into a 4-hour journey. 

And for those out of state encouraging their Floridian friends and family members, sometimes that "helpful" invitation can make things a little more difficult. 

As we continue to provide updates on the path and strength of the storm, we know the importance of trusting in God. 

Dave had thought he planned well enough ahead of the storm for the delivery of a new refrigerator, only to learn upon delivery that he needed some more work done for this new machine to work. 

Bill got his hands on a generator and has a plan for it, but he may have overdone it. 

As Carmen was driving home yesterday, she was shocked to see vehicles traveling in the emergency lanes, not knowing that Gov. DeSantis had opened up the emergency lanes for the evacuation routes. 

As we face the hurricane, we also face an upcoming election. Dave shared Day 2 of our 30 Days of Prayer for the Presidential Election.

As a radio station heard in 4 states, we recognize that not everyone who is listening will be directly impacted by Milton. But, we hear the support from our listening family in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee and love and appreciate you. 

Bill highlighted Psalm 89, which is a great guide for the road ahead for many of us. 

Part of our plan for the storm is to have Jayar ride it out at the station to provide you with a familiar voice. In preparation for that, he went to the grocery store to stock up on supplies and it went much like Dave anticipated it would.
