The Morning Cruise Replay - Time Is Relative

Wednesday, June 10, 2020

View Full Post   As they say, time is relative, and for our "brother" Bill, he seems to get lost in time when it comes to certain things like online lectures. That led to the question of what others in your life watch that you just can't endure. While Dave was ready to move on, Bill lost track of time in the hallways, so Dave told us about how Disney plans to offer a mask-free relaxation zone when they reopen. But then he heard about an option for socially-distanced dining that he doesn't think will work. During the time of quarantine, many of you have watched and have told us to watch The Chosen. Bill has started the original series and is joining the chorus of praise for the show. From time to time (even though we haven't done it in 2020...yet!) we open the TMC mailbag to answer some of your most frequently asked questions of Carmen. When we did that this morning, we were reminded of something we missed by a listener and that was supported by our coworker, Ashley, who not only brought in some Pirate Booty, but took the time to remind us that FriendRaiser is coming soon (next week, in fact!). We often hear the phrase, "it was the right song, at the right time". For Carmen, that song lately has been All Praise by Sean Curran and Passion. And in these times, where conversations about racism are happening in many households around the world, Bill offered a few children's books to tackle the subject matter with your kids on a level that they can understand.

The Morning Cruise Replay - A Thoughtful Tuesday

Tuesday, June 09, 2020

View Full Post   We did a lot of thinking today on The Morning Cruise! Carmen, Dave and Bill all shared some thoughts on the first 5 chapters of The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. Carmen shared several different translations of Romans 12:10 which led Bill to share from the book, How To Think: A Survival Guide for a World at Odds. We also got to hear your thoughts on the good news in your life. Dave shared the story of an astronaut that didn't think things all the way through. Bill shared a funny story from home about his wife's morning routine. Dave wondered why he had an ad on his Instagram feed for a gluten-free option that had all of us asking, "How do they do that?" And Bill finished off the show with a BIG Word with a lot of thought behind it.
